Applications are currently open to not-for-profit community groups or groups that are auspiced by an incorporated not-for-profit group that are the organisers of events and activities occurring in the Gannawarra Shire over the Easter 2025 long-weekend.
Applications close on Friday 21 March 2025. Applications for funding can only be submitted via Gannawarra Shire Council’s (Council) online SmartyGrants system.
Funding of up to $3,000 is available.
Community groups must be located within the Gannawarra Shire area and serve residents of the Gannawarra Shire.
Funding will support event organisers to add additional activities to their Easter 2025 events, focused on the following:
- Live music
- Family and Children activities
All funded events will be included in a Gannawarra Easter 2025 promotional campaign aimed at creating excitement in the community and attracting additional visitation to Gannawarra over this important holiday period to support the local community and economy.
All funded events will be required to include a logo banner on promotional material to acknowledge that the funding is being provided as part of the Gannawarra Flood Recovery Program through the Gannawarra Community Resilience Committee.
Please note that any funding provided cannot be used for the following items:
* equipment
* merchandise
* alcohol
* gifts
* prizes
* rewards
* incentives
* flags
* sponsorships
Funding will be distributed to successful organisations at the start of April 2025.
All successful projects are to be completed by Monday 21 April 2025, with receipts, photographs and a brief report submitted to Council by no later than 30 May 2025.
The report form can be found in SmartyGrants using your login.
Any unspent funds will be required to be repaid to Council.
Applicants that have outstanding funding acquittals with Council for events held previously will need to finalise these prior to being approved for additional funds.
